What is the Pitch Bootcamp?

The Pitch Bootcamp provides expert advice with real-world practice. The evening begins with talks by leading startup Founders designed to help you come up startup ideas, and refine your pitching skills. Then, you can pitch in front of both experts and your peers to receive constructive feedback. The evening format is based on the best practices of the Founder Institute, the largest pre-seed incubator in the world. Pizzas and drinks will also be provided.

Who will be Speaking?
The Local Director of the Founder Institute, as well as some of the program's highest rated Mentors, will speak and provide feedback on company pitches. Confirmed speakers include:

• Julian Ranger, CEO of J Ranger Ltd and DAD Solutions, Director of MediaSift, and Chairman at SocialSafe - Julian has been an Angel Investor since 2007 and an entrepreneur since he formed his first business, STASYS, with his then partner John in 1986. Prior to forming J Ranger Ltd, he was formerly VP International Strategic Development, responsible for development and execution of the international strategy for the Systems Integration business group of IS&S, Lockheed Martin. Previously Julian was founder (1987) and Managing Director of UK company STASYS Limited which he sold to Lockheed Martin in 2005.  Julian was responsible for the growth of STASYS to a £17M+ business with 230 staff, with subsidiaries in USA, Australia & Germany, prior to sale to Lockheed Martin.  STASYS had a worldwide reputation in Defence and Air Traffic markets for network centric consultancy and systems support. His management responsibilities encompassed the complete range from Board level vision, direction and control to business development, operational, finance and technical leadership.
• Daniel Doulton, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at SpinVox Ltd - Daniel is an entrepreneur advisor who works with business to help them to connect to "their most valuable future, today." He aims to lift perspectives to see the full meaning and true value of a business by reducing the complex, making way for new, powerful insights. His aim is to always chart a strategy that starts with a powerful vision and leads to establishing valuable assets. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded SpinVox, which changed the way over 100m people communicate daily, opened up a 4bn user market and created a multi-billion dollar category. He raised over $200m from Angels through to Goldman Sachs and achieved valuations over $0.5bn. He has over 92 patents to his name and won the major industry awards in business, design and technology. He built relationships and deals with Google, Microsoft, Cisco, AT&T, BT, Vodafone, Telefonica (O2), BBC, Oxfam and others. Daniel also had a corporate career including Arthur D. Little management consultants, Citibank trading, Psion/Symbian, HP and GEC Avionics. He pioneered the first consumer digital radios (DAB), touchscreen smartphones and launched the groundbreaking Psion Series 5 handheld computer.
